It is also clear to me that the items included with it are indended as a patch for the base-game. They smooth out the difficulty-curve, something the game needs! The vignettes can be seen as his version of the 2.5 and 3.5-level monster and is a beutiful implementation. The good thing here is that Poots is takign notice! He wants the game to be consistently challengeing. Will probably start playing this way.Īnother fix is to consider any wounds healed added with the 'life' trait and ignore resources on crits on these. I guess 8, 11, 14 might be reasonable as rewards. If people play with crit-farming we are not playing the same game difficulty-setting.
It also makes any interesting strategy discussion or comparison with others moot. Now, people can play however they want but when i play a game i want to do my best to play well, and not have to deal with the psychological problem of ignoring options that are too good, it saps my enjoyment and lessens the experience. It is essentially a glitch in the game if you consider the way the game is intended to be played (pushing higher on the risk-curve for better rewards, or playing it safe for less rewards). Regardless of if one crit-farms or not i find the existance of such an option bothersome.
